Purported photos of iPad Air 2 surface in new leak

Photos of an alleged iPad Air 2 rear shell have leaked online. The images show a rear shell with a redesigned speaker grill and a relocated rear microphone next to the camera. Some photos have been published to the Chinese social networking site Weibo, which are believed to be the rear shell casing for the next-generation iPad Air.  As per the images, it looks like Apple has changed the size and position of the speakers. The speaker grille now features one row of large holes instead of two rows of tiny holes, and it looks like the rear mic has been relocated. It also shows recessed volume control buttons and a new microphone next to the camera lens. The Apple iPad Air 2 is expected to include the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, embedded in the home button. In addition, the new iPad Air could also feature a faster A8 processor, which is expected to improve the tablet's performance and battery life. Despite a handful of changes, the overall design does bear a striking resemblance to the current design of the iPad. The latest photo leak comes months after the Front panels of the iPad Air 2 were leaked in April this year. via: Apple Insider
