Google Play Store. VLC is pretty famous for PC and Mac version but team VideoLAN was lacking its presence on one of the most popular mobile platform. With this release they have made their mark on mobile platforms also.
VLC Beta (NEON Version)
Currently VLC Beta is available everywhere other than US and Canada. This version is ONLY for devices with a CPU ARMv7 that will support NEON. According to VideoLAN:
This version is NOT stable and is slower than the final version.
It might kill your kitten, destroy your house and start the mayan apocalypse.

VLC Beta (NEON Version) Features
VideoLAN also confirmed through Twitter that the ARM6 and Tegra 2 versions will be released in few days. The current features are very much similar to its desktop version. Other than that VideoLAN has included:
- Support for multi-track audio and subtitles
- Support for auto-rotation
- Aspect-Ratio adjustments
- Gestures to control volume
- Widget for audio control
- Support for audio headsets control
- Audio media library
VLC Beta (NEON Version) Limitations
The final version will be a bit different from beta release since in the final version –
- The basic user interface will change
- Performance improvements will be done
Other than the above, current limitations include:
- Some audio issues might occur
- Hardware decoding works only with a limited set of hardware
- Other unknown issues.
